Unless a Florida candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives acquires thousands of petition signatures, he or she has to pay a qualifying fee of up to $9,912 to get on the Florida ballot. Even if a candidate qualifies by the petition method, he or she still has to pay the state a fee of ten cents per signature to verify petition data.
But why would you give a politician money for anything? Wouldn't you rather take your family out to dinner, buy a new TV, or donate to charity? Certainly. Great ideas. But maybe you'd like to give John Q. Public a chance to get elected, to help keep America strong, fair, and productive. A monetary contribution is one way to do that, though it pains me to ask. $100 or $200 would be most appreciated.

Money, however, is not the only way to help someone succeed. There are five other ways.

Two, if you are a registered voter of District 8 but not a Democrat, you can change your political affiliation and vote in the primary election for me. The form for that is HERE.
